Be A Dental Inventor!

Dr. Fresh Sponsors Third Annual Toothbrush Design Contest In Honor Of
February’s National Children’s Dental Health Month
( Rules - Click here | Download Entry Form )

What does your fantasy toothbrush look like?  What kind of toothbrush would be so much fun to use it would make you want to brush your teeth with no nagging from Mom and Dad?

Those are the questions Dr. Fresh is asking second through fifth graders across the U.S., with “Be A Dental Inventor” – the third annual toothbrush design contest celebrating National Children’s Dental Health Month this February 2009.

Dr. Fresh, the Buena Park, California-based company known for its bright and sparkly toothbrushes that light up and flash to encourage longer brushing, is challenging kids to come up with the ideal toothbrush, one that is fun, user-friendly, and able to motivate other kids to brush their teeth regularly and thoroughly.

Kids in third through fifth grades are being asked to submit a drawing of their fantasy toothbrush and briefly explain why they think it will appeal to other kids.

The first prize winner and a parent or guardian will receive an all-expenses paid trip to
Buena Park, California, where they will visit the Dr. Fresh headquarters, as well as enjoy a day at the nearby Disneyland Resort.   The winner will also receive a $500 U.S. Savings Bond, while two runners up will each receive a $250 U.S. Savings bonds.  Each contest entrant will also receive a complimentary Dr. Fresh FireFly® toothbrush.

“Kids have the brightest ideas when it comes to motivating other kids to brush their teeth,” says Dr. Fresh.  “We really look forward to seeing their toothbrush ideas, and they get more creative every year!”

To enter, children should submit an original drawing of their toothbrush design,  accompanied by a brief written description (100 words or less) on why they think kids would like to use this toothbrush.   All media – paints, crayons, chalk, pencils, markers – accepted.    Judges will be looking for originality, creativity and motivational appeal.  No licensed (e.g. cartoon) characters may be used, and all work must be the entrant’s own.  No purchase necessary.  Entries must be original, and be accompanied by an official contest entry form or reasonable facsimile thereof.  Contest entries can be mailed to Hazmat Media (HazMat Media c/o Dental Inventor Contest, 120 N. Robertson Blvd., Los Angeles, CA  90048) and must be postmarked by
January 25, 2009.  For complete contest guidelines and to download an official entry form, please visit http://www.drfresh.com/.  All entries become the property of Dr. Fresh, Inc. and will not be returned.
